Prerequisites as per levels of difficulty

Allow yourself the time to browse through the workshop selections and read the description highlights. They are intended to guide you and allow you to make a wiser selection.

It is recommended that you not take a workshop geared to advanced painters if you are at a beginner level. You will surely encounter difficulty and some frustration. It would be unfair to expect additional help from the instructor or your classmates, and would impede the flow of class delivery.

If you seek to gain experience in a new medium, be it watercolor, oil, or other, we ask that you register in a class that offers a beginner level project. This will ensure that you receive the basics needed to advance on to more challenging projects.

If you are a more experienced student and opt for a project of lower skill level, please consider that the instructor will be teaching at a slower pace and you may find yourself with free time on your hands. Please be considerate and patient while the instructor endeavors to teach and assist the other students in the class.

-Beginner:

This level is for students who have not gained a great deal of experience in decorative painting, but who know the basic techniques. Expect a slower pace with more guided assistance from the teacher.

-Intermediate:

For students who have acquired some experience in decorative painting, who have mastered basic techniques and more. The pace is accelerated and teacher assistance is minimal.

-Advanced:

This is the right choice for students who have a great deal of painting experience, and are able to execute multiple techniques with limited assistance. The pace is fast and teacher assistance is minimal.

-Highly advanced:

Classes at this level are geared at those students who have extensive knowledge of the mediums and techniques being offered but are looking for a challenge and opportunity for growth.
